The Warrior Beat - Stephen Tsai, Posted on: September 22, 2007
The owners of the Sacramento Kings are friends with Kevin Kaplan, who helps run the June Jones Foundation. Next thing you know, according to the word on the street, the King guys are cutting a $50,000 check to Na Koa. Best part is what goes to Na Koa stays with the UH football team. Sidenote: The Maloofs, owners of the Sacramento Kings, actually donated $75,000 ($50,000 to UH Football and $25,000 to the June Jones Foundation).

Know those shirts and hats June Jones wears? They can be purchased at www.warriorsrespond.com. There are cool things on the site. I actually go on once a day to hear the music that is played when the Warriors run onto the field.
Stephen Tsai knows University of Hawai'i sports, down to the last decimal of a 40-yard dash. He's lived UH sports since 1987. Few reporters get the inside information like he does. What Tsai writes is a daily must read.
